Synopsis
When a February storm closes the only road out of Calder Gap, Ruth Ellery is left alone with her son Daniel for the first time in eleven years. He came home to sell the farm. She has no intention of letting him. Over six weeks of failing power lines, frozen pipes and the ordinary work of keeping animals alive, the two of them trade the things they never said at the funeral, and find out whether a family can be rebuilt from what's left.
