About the studio
Small stories.
Long shadows.
Hollowpine Pictures is an independent production company in Asheville, North Carolina. Since 2016 we've made dramas and thrillers rooted in the small towns, back roads and coastlines of the American Southeast.
We started with a borrowed camera, a rented farmhouse and a crew of nine. Ten years later we're still small on purpose: we shoot on location, hire locally, and keep our budgets low enough that we can make the films we actually want to make.
For years our films reached audiences through whichever platform would carry them, and for however long they cared to. Now we sell them ourselves. Renting or buying here supports the studio directly and keeps every title available for as long as we're around.
